Windermere Centre has been a firm favourite amongst Morningside residents for many years, as a meeting place and shopping destination catering for just about every need. The centre is a popular choice, offering shoppers a mix of retailers that provide for day to day necessities, as well as life’s little luxuries.

Windermere Centre recently underwent a beautiful renovation which included the addition of some wonderful new stores. The centre is very accessible and free parking makes shopping a breeze. Several entrances and exits welcome pedestrians and the installation of a lift makes visiting multiple shops extremely convenient, with or without a trolley.

There are offices situated at the centre and residential flats above the shopping mall. As a result, Windermere Centre has become a landmark in Durban and a regular meeting place for the community. Windermere Centre is equipped with generators - so there is no need to worry about power outages when you need to do your shopping. We do have generators, so loadshedding will not affect your shopping experience at Windermere Centre.

Trading Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Sunday and Public holidays: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Woolworths Food and Checkers open 08:00am to 8:00pm daily

Parking

The centre offers free open and undercover parking, accessible from multiple points; off Windermere Road, Claribel Road, Ninth Avenue and Rosetta Road. The parking is monitored by car park attendants.

Safety and Security

Shopper safety is of utmost importance to us. The centre is patrolled by security guards and car park attendants. There is a CCTV system in place which monitors the centre and communications are linked to alarm systems and armed response. Security officers are trained in First Aid and Health and Safety practices.
